Bought as a gift for my mother who recently had back surgery. Although she is unable to use it at present due to doctor's restrictions, my 82 year old father is warming it up for her! He loves it and said it helps with his knees as he had knee surgery years ago and still suffers from knee problems. When my mother is able to use it I know it will relieve pressure on her lower back as I know personally from having massages and the therapist uses one under my knees.
