I ordered the 10" wedge, because I am a 5'8" woman and thought I'd need the additional height. Because the foam is so "firm," it is actually a bit high for me, but I adjusted it using a serrated knife, where I cut "wells" for my calfs, which added additional support for my ankles and heels. All in all, a very superior product. I'd recommend the 10" version only for people 6' tall or taller. The 8" version would work well for people who are 5'7" to 5'11". In my enthusiasm to receive the wedge, I cheerfully opened the box and removed the plastic wrapper. After I ripped open the plastic wrapping on the product, I noticed a small sticker that said, "test this product before removing plastic wrapping because you cannot return it once wrapping is removed." Ah...too late for me, but hopefully future buyers will take note and give it a test run before ripping!
