Fitting And Measuring Tips

Before discussing the fitting and measuring tips for selecting your post-mastectomy bra, it is important to emphasize that a breast form (prosthesis) is only as effective as the bra that carries it. For this reason, wearing the right, properly fitted bra will help you feel most comfortable, healthy, and feminine. While there are many bras on the market, there are only a few that can carry a breast prosthesis properly. The bras offered in the store are specially designed for this purpose.

STEP 1: Measure lightly around the body, directly under the breast. This is your body size. (Uneven size take next even size up).

Example:
Measurement 29"
Add 5"
BRA SIZE = 34"

STEP 2: Measure directly across the fullest part of the breast over the nipple area with arms at side and standing erect.Substract the body size from the second measurement. This difference is your cup size.

If the measurement difference is:

  • the same as the body size, then your cup size is AA
  • up to 1" larger than body size, then your cup size is A
  • up to 2" larger than body size, then your cup size is B
  • up to 3" larger than body size, then your cup size is C
  • up to 4" larger than body size, then your cup size is D
  • up to 5" larger than body size, then your cup size is DD
  • up to 6" larger than body size, then your cup size is F
