Surgery is next wk. Doc calls today - won't do it unless I stay at an 800/night suite across from hospital. Other choice is hotel that's 350/night

6 hour surgery (fl, necklift, ft, bleth is scheduled for next wed. Today get a call, doc says to drive home from LA to the OC after the surgery, then next day from OC to LA (checkup) then home is too far. Sx cancelled unless I stay at an 800/night suite across from hospital. Other choice is hotel that's 350/night nearby.

This will be 2nd face lift. Had two other elective surgeries. All seemed to end up being about an hr away from home. Commute has never been brought up or considered to be a problem.

Am bewildered. Feel this is unreasonable.

This should have been (?was) discussed with you at the time surgery was scheduled. A one hour drive after surgery may or may not be reasonable depending on many factors. (more)
