Scars behind ears after lower face lift
lower face liftface liftFacelift

Although I explained to the nurse and the doctor many times that I did NOT want the incisions behind the ear to go into the hairless area, this is where they were placed. Apparently no one listened to me. I would not have had the surgery had I been told he was going to do this. Instead the nurse said, that nothing would show and the Doctor drew a picture with the incision in the crease only. I explained MANY times that as a nurse I wear my hair in a French twist. Now the best that I can hope for is thin white scars. I would have preferred no surgery. Can these be tattooed or lasered in the future? I am not interested in "discreet" scars, as I know what healed scars look like and don't want to be self conscious about changing a hairstyle that I have had for life. All the staff says is ..."it's very early in your recovery..." It's been 3 weeks. I feel as though I was just "run though the mill" without being listened to. There ARE people who, having been told where the incisions will be, choose not to have surgery. I would have been one of them.

I am sorry that you were not listened to! You are correct that scar placement is a consideration for this surgery.

Where to go from here? It may take ~18 months or so for the red to (more)
