Q: lumpy thing after tummy tuck
i am 3 weeks post op having had tt, arm lift, face lift, and thigh lipo. doing fabulous except a concern about this fluid-y protrusion above belly button with a horizontal ,'crease'. i had nothing like at all pre op. main reason decided on tt was very long lengthwise hernia . i had all work done in south america, could not afford usa costs. my surgeon was fantastic, but would appreciate another view on this concern.

Thank you for your question,
I am Dr. Speron, a proud member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). I am also certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
After reviewing your photos, it seems to me your tummy tuck procedure needs to be re-evaluated do to the puffiness area above the crease. I highly recommend contacting your surgeon in South America and scheduling a fallow up visit since it seems your hernia repair may have gotten infected. This may not be the case, but it is always recommended to visit a specialist to ensure your safety and take health precautions.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 847.696.9900 for a private consultation. We would also be happy to mail you some additional information and brochures. In case you have not done so yet, please check out our website at www.prplastic.com for a wealth of additional information as well as a lot of before and after pictures.
Thanks for your question. Have a great day!
Best regards,
Dr. Speron

According to my surgeon, I had hernia repaired from sturnum all the way down. Full tummy tuck done and belly button moved down. There were sutures in the belly button. He moved mine down, did not create new one as there was not that much to move downward. It hurt alot inside belly button into deeper tissue, so I know something was done with my belly button, and it does seem a couiple inches lower. I spoke to my surgeon, he seems to feel the skin is not fully adhered to the underlying muscle coupled with lymph collecting there (and my massage therapist has confirmed lymph sac is there). Surgeon has asked me to add more compression by rolling up a washcloth or small towel and put into my compression garment over the spot... for 3 months... whch seems like an awful long time. Any further comments on this? I really felt like he did a great job on everything else, and was very contientious and meticulous. Sutures removed here by another physician (not a plastic surgeon) and the comment was that the surgeon was very good and meticulous, scars are really thin, sutures were very small tight knots. Any comments appreciated.

There is no scar around the belly button.
Then you had a mini-tummy tuck. maybe liposuction to the upper abdomen, and that is why you have the fold in the upper abdomen.
Get aanother consult by a plastic surgeon in person for full evaluation.

Thanks for your response....I did have s sulk tummy tuck though, my wound is just under the towel edge in the photo. I had s very long hernia sternum all the way down that was repaired and my belly button moved down. Why do you say it doesn't look like s full tummy tuck ?
