Philadelphia police suspect a London woman died after buttocks enhancement with silicone which caused a fatal embolism. Authorities were seeking to question a local singer who may have injected Claudia Aderotimi, 20, who died after the illegal procedure at a Hampton Inn near the Philadelphia International Airport earlier this week.
"If the medical examiner rules the cause of death was the injection, then there is a chance for a murder charge," said Lt. John Walker, police spokesman, on Saturday.
Authorities were seeking to question Padge Victoria Windslowe, a self-described Goth hip hop singer know as "Black Madam" from Ardmore, Pennsylvania, in the death.
No criminal charges have been filed. Authorities were awaiting toxicology reports from the Delaware County medical examiner's office, which could take up to eight weeks.
Aderotimi and a friend flew to Philadelphia to receive silicone injections in the hotel. They made a similar trip in November, 2010 without complications.
The illegal procedure was completed at about 1:30 p.m. local time on Monday in the hotel, and about three hours later Aderotimi was rushed to a hospital where she died at 1:32 a.m. on Tuesday.
"She started coughing and having shortness of breath," said Walker. "What we believe happened is that the injector nicked a vein and put the substance into the bloodstream. It goes through your vascular system and lands in the lung and since it's a gel, it will pile up like a rock.

The term Butt Injections usually refers to injecting form of foreign material like Silicone, Hydrogel, or PMMA into your buttocks. None of these things are FDA approved and nor are they safe. Many women have died from injections of these foreign materials or had numerous complications such as chronic pain and persistent and recurring infections, not to mention severe deformity. More recently, you may have heard in the news about someone injecting Fix-a-flat, cement and Krazy Glue. Obviously this is not legal either! The choice of material is a complex decision process requiring an evaluation of your desires, anatomy, practicality, and medical history. This is usually determined at the time of the initial consultation but may need to be adjusted at a later date.

LIPOINJECTION
There is no way to give you an accurate quote via EMail. Subcutaneous augmentation can be performed utilizing several different techniques and in the case of lipoinjection (fat injection) typically requires multiple staged procedures.

The fat is aspirated from the abdomen or thighs using a syringe method. The fat is then transferred to smaller syringes where it is injected into the desired areas.

The results are difficult to predict because "fat take" (the amount of fat which survives after being transferred) can vary anywhere from 20 to 80%. The success depends on several factors. It is like trying to predict how many seeds will sprout when you plant them in the ground.

Fat must be obtained from a donor site and therefore satisfactory quantity and quality of fat must be available. The procedure requires an anesthestic and may be performed in the office or surgicenter. On average, 50% of the injected fat will be absorbed but the fat which remains is permanent. Several operative sessions may be required to achieve the desired result.

Risks can occur regardless of surgeon or technique. These include but are not limited to: infection, hematoma, discomfort, asymmetry, undesirable effect on associated muscles, overcorrection, undercorrection, pain, prolonged swelling, dimpling, fat necrosis, fibrosis, abscess formation, adverse medication reaction, allergic reaction, need for additional "touch up" injections, palpability, visibility, distortion with muscular contraction, need for secondary revisions, and inability to guarantee a specific cosmetic result.

During the consultation we may determine that other procedures are better suited for your optimal outcome.

Approximate fees can range:
Fat injection to the buttock can range anywhere from $3,500 up to $10,000.

Although I understand your desire to obtain the price; I can't give you a fixed price for several reasons. Prices depend on:
Do you want it performed in an office, surgicenter or in a hospital setting?
Do you want a nurse, a surgeon, or a Board Certified Anesthesiologist to perform anesthesia?
Do you want me to provide you with dressings & garments or do you want to buy them?
Are there consultation fees or charges for postoperative visits?
Do you want a pain pump?
Depending on these factors surgery can range anywhere from $3500 up to $10,000. Additional fees are charged for liposuction of additional areas such as the hips and thighs. Think about it and make the right choice. Many other options are available and prices do vary accordingly.

We use financing through our society. Your rate depends upon your credit rating (approximately 14.9%). However, we do expect you to pay prior to scheduling surgery.
