Why sagging neck after face/necklift?
Facelift

I am almost 8 weeks post necklift and lower facelift with a platysmaplasty (corset). As the swelling goes down, I am noticing the platsyma bands or hanging skin is still there. There is significant improvement and I still have some numbness and swelling. I am just so concerned that the platymaplasty failed. My PS says that the tightening takes a few months, so be patient. However, when I look at before and after pictures of others who had the same procedure, they look perfect at 8 weeks. I am 56 years old, non-smoker, healthy weight and not a sun bather.
