dermabrasion vs chemical peel

I am 49 and have started noticing that my pores are looking larger and my skin doesn't have that healthy shine it used to. I am also a flight attendant and deal with the dry air in the plane, which doesn't help. I have fine crows feet around my eyes and my elasticity isn't what it used to be. was wondering which (if any) treatment would address my issues and with the minimal down time, and the easiest on my pocket

Fine wrinkles can often be improved with a medium to deep chemical peel such as Jessner's plus 35% TCA. Crow's feet can be reduced this way, along with the use of Botox to prevent additional dynamic wrinkles. These are also reasonable cost-wise.

Dermabrasion is really reserved for scars and major contour problems (NOTE: dermabrasion and microdermabrasion are NOT the same thing...microdermabrasion is really just a nice exfoliant).

Pores, unfortunately, are typically impossible to change substantially with any of the above (including laser resurfacing, Fraxel, Thermage, etc.) in my experience. At best, a combination of good pore cleansing (e.g., Clarisonic skin brush), Retin-A, and perhaps spironolactone can help with pores.

All the best,
