So yes you saved $1,400. But thank God you did not have a post op issue. As most of us expert feel the added expense for safety is not a good reason to travel. Especially if you have a serious out of country complication. As you stated 3rd world medicine and facility. Also even minor or late complications back here in US, you will find very few of us PSs will take on your care.
