I would definitely recommend avoiding the "Gel Injections" I have seen patients who have undergone silicone gel/oil injections as well as hydrogel injections. I have seen some who have had infections and others who have developed granulomas (painful lumps of scar tissue) in the areas of the injections. Some of these people have had to have a large volume of their buttocks removed to get rid of the silicone and granulomas.
If you have the fat to use, I would recommend fat grafting (Brazilian). It sounds like maybe your surgeon is recommending using a flap of tissue from your tummy tuck or possibly a body lift to augment your buttocks. This is a reasonable option for many people as well. Or sometimes when a patient of mine is undergoing a tummytuck, I'll use the excess fat from the abdominal area that is being removed to add to the fat to augment their buttocks. But I definitely would not recommend the "Gel Injections"

I received the medical grade silikon and have no problems at all. They have been in business for 20 years in Manhattan, NYC. The price is 2k when you get there so there is no fee you have to pay ahead of time. You would be surprised at the long list of people they have serviced in the past. Send me an email if you are interested at firstname.lastname@example.org
