jaw numbness/speech problem 9 days after radiesse with lidocaine/epinephrine lip injections
Is there anything I can do? My doc says it will go away. Cannot pronounce p's, f's, b's, etc. Horribly afraid.
I agree with your doctor - these symptoms should resolve on their own, but I would ask your doctor about maybe taking a medrol dose pack. Steroids may speed up the recovery process. I would not get Radiesse in the lips again if I were you. Stick to Juvederm or Restylane.

My doctor told me this morning that I have motor damage due to lidocaine with epinephrine, that may take months to heal. I believe she hit a nerve when she injected me. She says no, it's just my reaction to the epinephrine. Very sad. I am so self conscious of my speech that I don't want to go out. I have tried Medrol. Am on 2nd dose pack. Thank you
Seek other in person opinions. Sorry. From MIAMI Dr. Darryl j. Blinski

Since I can't speak properly, I know I have motor nerve damage, due probably to the needle hitting my nerve. I am going to go to a speech pathologist, in the meantime. Thank you, doctors, for taking the time to respond to my question. Sincerely!
