It is difficult to make recommendations unseen, but from my experience, most people as they age need no lifts or eye lid surgery, but fat transfer into the cheek/lid area. This maneuver solves the problem for decades to come. Make sure you find someone really experienced. At least 10 years of experience.
Best of luck to you. Doctor G?

Fillers for the aging eyelid appearance versus blepharoplasty  April 29, 2010 1:47 PM

Fillers such as Juvederm can be very helpful to restore the volume loss that comes with aging around the eyes. Fat grafts--in select cases and carefully done--may also be effective. Some patients only need filling, some only need surgery, some need both in order to achieve a more youthful contour.

All the best,

Fillers,and fat transfers  April 30, 2010 7:13 AM

Thankyou for replying to my query regarding the best treatment for tiredness marks under the eyes, pits or hollowness.I guess fillers or fat transfer would be the answer to this, not eyelid surgery. Can you tell me more about fat-transfer,is this a common procedure for this problem or is Juvederm usually enough to clear up the appearance.Thankyou for all of your answers.

Fillers vs Fat transfer for tear trough hollowing  May 1, 2010 6:43 PM

The choice depends on how deep and wide the indentations are. Indents that are not too deep and not too wide are easy to fill with Juvederm or Restylane (the only fillers that should ever be used in the tear troughs - hyaluronic acid fillers and soft, smooth, last for years and most importantly are reversible with the injection of an enzyme) Deeper and wider indents need fat transfer.
