Can a tummy tuck be done by taking in around the belly button?
meaning as in making a 4 sided star shaped incision around the belly button and taking it in from all sides leaving a sort of cross area to stitch.
It had been tried but the results are poor.
Think for a second WHO needs a Tummy Tuck, WHAT needs to be removed and WHAT are the goals of the operation and you will realize why it is done the way it is done.
EVERY single pregnancy (to proceed and allow full growth of the uterus) is associated with a splitting of the six pack muscles (rectus) and stretching of the other belly muscles aLONG WITH skin stretching and cracking (IE Stretch Marks).
A Tummy Tuck should therefore put the muscles back together again and tighten the abdominal wall (cannot be done through a belly button hole incision) and remove a great amount of skin (cannot be done through the belly button).
A properly done Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) will flatten your tummy, narrow your waist, remove a lot of the loose skin between the belly button and the privates, lift the Mons pubis and, depending on the method used, smooth thigh cellulite by lifting the thigh.
