What can I do about melasma covering 60 % of my face
I tried IPL several years ago. Face was clear for a month then the pigment got much worse. HQ drives the pigment down under the skin and works only when I use it~~the pigmented areas return after 2 weeks. Maladerm did not make an improvement. I am currently using Obagi Vitamin C w/o HQ and Dermatoligica Night White. I am probably spending money on products that won't help, however, it makes me feel a little better knowing I am doing something for this affliction. People ask me "what's wrong with your face!" I am not comfortable with the idea of Fraxel since reading reports from those who had horrific results. I know that these are rare, but I am not willing to chance it yet. Do you have suggestions. I am on a light dose of HRT, however, I had this problem before the use of HRT. I use the expensive inorganic sunscreen by Colorscience and Mary Kay liquid sunscreen under that. I wear a hat even in the car. I don't look in the mirror most days. Thanks for your help.

We use a peel in our office called Vi peel and it seems to work quite well on melasma. It may be that you would need several sessions but you should see improvement and it is not extremely expensive. Good luck.
