What is the first thing you notice about a person's face? Often is the nose, which is the central feature. A nose can be too large, too crooked, or too wide for your face. information
Rhinoplasty (nose surgery, nose job) is a facial cosmetic procedure, usually performed to enhance the appearance of the nose. The term rhinoplasty means "nose molding" or "nose forming." During a rhinoplasty procedure, the nasal cartilages and bones are modified to make the nose smaller (reduction rhinoplasty), or tissue is added (augmentation rhinoplasty). The change can be made by adding or removing bone or cartilage, grafting tissue from another part of the body, or implanting synthetic material to alter the shape of the nose. Some of the reasons people elect to undergo rhinoplasty include unnatural size, a bump on the bridge of the nose, an off-center or crooked nose, asymmetry due to injury, excessively flared nostrils, a droopy or thick tip, or excessive wideness. Rhinoplasty can also provide relief from breathing problems or correct a birth defect.
